Nroro LVT glue-down flooring (GD03 Golden Oak, GD08 Almond Oak, GD10 Arctic Oak, GD21 Sunset Koa) has a 0.5 mm (20 mil) wear layer: 25-year residential, 10-year commercial limited warranty.
Who gives this warranty. Muoma LLC, doing business as Nroro (“Nroro”), 1130 N Nimitz Hwy, Suite A121, Honolulu, HI 96817, info@nroro.com.
Who is covered. The original purchaser of Nroro LVT flooring. This warranty cannot be transferred.
When it starts. On the date of purchase shown on the original receipt. It lasts for the period in the table below.
What is covered
A. Manufacturing defects. The planks will not peel or delaminate and will be free of manufacturing defects in size, thickness and dimensional stability.
B. Wear. The wear layer will not wear through to the printed pattern under normal foot traffic during the period below. Scratches, dents and loss of gloss are not wear.
| Wear layer | Residential | Commercial |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 mm – 1 mm (20–40 mil) | 25 years | 10 years |
| 0.3 mm – 0.4 mm (12–16 mil) | 10 years | 5 years |
| 0.1 mm – 0.2 mm (4–8 mil) | 5 years | 3 years |
Residential means use in a home or residential unit, by the people who live there. Commercial means any other use, including offices, stores, rentals run as a business, and common areas of buildings.
C. Water. The planks are waterproof: topical water, household spills (water, alcohol, non-abrasive cleaners) and normal damp mopping will not warp or structurally damage the plank itself. Wipe up spills promptly to prevent mold. This warranty does not cover damage from flooding, standing water, plumbing leaks, or moisture or water pressure coming from below the floor.
Installation
The flooring must be installed according to the Nroro LVT glue-down installation guide: nroro.com/pages/installation-lvt. Nroro LVT glue-down is glued directly to the subfloor. During acclimation, installation and the first 48 hours after installation, keep the room at 59–86°F (15–30°C) and 30–55% relative humidity. The subfloor must be flat within 3/16 in. over 10 ft (4.8 mm over 3 m), with a pH of 7–9. Problems caused by installation that does not follow the guide are not covered.
What is not covered
- Visible defects that could be seen before installation (size, thickness, color, gloss, grain, damaged edges). Inspect every plank before installing it. Installing a plank means you accept how it looks.
- Damage from accidents, fire, burns or flood.
- Dents, scratches and dings from pets, high heels, golf shoes, wheelchairs, or furniture without proper floor protectors.
- Scratches from moving heavy items without protective felt or plywood.
- Fading, discoloration or loss of shine from direct sunlight.
- Damage from installation that does not follow the installation guide, including:
- subfloor preparation (flatness, hardness, moisture, pH);
- acclimating the planks for less than 48 hours;
- using an adhesive not suitable for glue-down LVT, or not following the guide’s adhesive and rolling steps;
- striking the planks with a hammer.
- Installation over radiant floor heating with a floor surface temperature above 85°F (29°C).
- Damage from installing the flooring over any underlayment, cushion or pad.
- Chips, warping or buckling caused by an unstable subfloor, improper acclimation or improper maintenance.
- Problems caused by excessive humidity, mold, alkali or hydrostatic (water) pressure, including adhesive failure from subfloor moisture.
- Damage from floor-care products that are not recommended, or from harsh chemicals.
- Outdoor installations, and areas often exposed to water, such as showers, swimming pools, saunas and pool decks.
